Superior, Colorado

Overview:

The town of Superior is located in southeastern Boulder County, Colorado. The town was incorporated in 1904 and named for the superior quality of coal mined in the area. Today, Superior is a bustling town located just south of Highway 36, also known as Foothills Highway.

Although Superior occupies just 4 square miles, there are 594 acres of parks and open space, plus 27 miles of trails for biking, hiking and the outdoor enthusiast.
